JSE approves Pembury Lifestyle Group’s acquisition of six retirement lodges

Pembury Lifestyle Group retirement lodges

Newly listed Pembury Lifestyle Group has received the JSE’s approval on the acquisition of six Pembury retirement lodges.

This diversification of the Pembury Group’s portfolio into the retirement industry will add a mature and stable base of future earnings to the group’s rapidly expanding education assets.

“In addition to providing stable earnings, the acquisition strengthens the group through diversification,” explains CEO Andrew McLachlan.  “It also allows investors a unique opportunity to invest in the retirement sector.  When international models of similar retirement operations have listed on their stock exchanges, they have proven to be successful investment vehicles.  This is because the retirement sector is characterized by strong and growing demand.”

PLG Hartbeespoort Academy: Social Science History Project

We wish to commend all our grade 4 pupils on their amazing Social Science History Project. They created a museum of old things and hosted a spectacular display out of these amazing nostalgic items.

The pupils were very intrigued by all these funny, clumsy looking items and the older grown-ups just enjoyed this trip down memory-lane.

Well done on making this academic project a fun experience for all.

PLG Hartbeespoort Academy visit a Herb Farm

Pupils and parents visited the Margaret Roberts herb farm on 8 February 2017.  Upon arrival we all received a bunch of herbs and salt.  Mrs Roberts discussed each herb with us as we added it to our salt.  Each learner made their own braai salt that is healthy and delicious.

After the talk we all enjoyed ice tea and a scone that contained some of the herbs that we discussed.  We then walked through the herb plantations.

Thank you to all the parents who helped us with transport.  A special thank you to Mr Mamabolo for the ice lollies that he provided to the children on the trip.
